Spring 2019 Information

 

Limited Service on Tuesday, January 8, 2019

The Health Sciences Sector, South Quad-East Campus, Haley West and Park & Ride Lines will be in operation from 9 am – 3 pm.  No other regular routes will be in operation.

 

Regular Route Operations

All regular route operations will resume at 7 am on Wednesday, January 9, 2019.

 

Tiger Ten Operations

Tiger Ten resumes operations at 10:30 pm on Friday, January 11, 2019.

 

Changes for Spring 2019 

a.        Employee Shuttle:  The Employee Shuttle is now a by request only service.  Employees requiring service between the hours of 7 am – 6 pm may obtain service by calling (334) 844-8600 and providing the stop location or building name.  As a reminder, this service is only available during the fall and spring semesters.

 

b.        South Auburn, West Campus, Webster Road and Wire Road Lines:  A review of these lines was conducted over the semester break.  In order to address safety concerns, these lines will now travel down Donahue Drive and make a right hand turn onto Samford Avenue and then continue the remainder of the routes. 

 

c.       College Loop:  The outbound and inbound VCOM stop is no longer a by request only stop and will now be a regular stop on the College Loop Line.

 

Construction Notification

Due to utility construction scheduled to take place from January 14, 2019 – February 3, 2019 along Donahue Drive and War Eagle Way, there is a possibility of route delays for all routes with a starting/ending location designated at the main transit hub on Heisman Drive.  Riders are advised to consider the possible travel delays when planning their departure times for traveling to and from campus, as delays and detours do not appear on the map viewed via the Transit Visualization System.   

 

Contractor Shuttle Service – Spring Semester 2019 posted Tuesday, January 08, 2019

Facilities Management is partnering with Tiger Transit to provide a transportation option system that will take contractors to/from designated locations on campus to/from the designated contractor parking lot. This is a phased operation with each phase supported with one bus Phase one provides service from 5:15 AM until 7:15 AM and Phase two provides service from 3:30 PM until 5:30 PM.  

The contractor shuttle service is not available the Friday before each home football game.
