Tiger Transit Notice (v1) - Regular “Fixed” Route Operation Modifications for the Summer Semester posted Wednesday, May 18, 2016

a)      The North College Line departs from the Student Center Transit Hub and continues to service all existing stops with the exception of the Outbound- Bragg Avenue @ Sanders St. (stop code number 546).  This transit stop is now located approximately one block from its old location and is identified by the new Tiger Transit bus stop sign located just south of the Cecil Lane @ Sanders Street intersection. The modification of the North College Line (outbound) precludes any bus having to execute an unprotected left hand turn, across traffic, at the corner of Bragg Ave and North College Street.  This routing change should create a more efficient and safe transit experience for our stakeholders.

b)      The South College Line has been slightly modified to decrease the amount of time (4 to 5 minutes) required for one bus to complete one circuit of the redesigned route. The South College Line departs from the Mell St. Station, proceeds on route to Williamsburg Place on South College followed by the Harmon Duplexes. Access to Harmon Duplexes is attained through Williamsburg Place. This change negates the necessity to utilize South College to access the Harmon Duplexes development.   Please note the Sara Street @ Veteran’s Parkway transit stop (stop number 186) has been shifted to the South side of Veteran’s Parkway and is now the second stop on this route. Also, the transit stop located at the intersection of Sara Street @ Harmon Drive (stop number 184) has been shifted to the North side of Harmon Drive and is now the 5th stop on the South College Line.

Please visit our website at http://www.auburn.edu/transit for information regarding all transit services scheduled for the summer 2016 semester.
