Supper Shuttle - Pilot Program posted Wednesday, January 04, 2017

Tiger Transit is pleased to announce the addition of an on-campus “Supper Shuttle” to the slate of services provided by Tiger Transit.  This pilot program is designed to provide transportation to and from numerous on-campus dining and housing venues.

The “Supper Shuttle” will provide service from January 10, 2017 thru May 5, 2017 and operate Monday through Sunday during the hours of 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.  The following exceptions apply: No service will be provided  March 11 through March 18, 2017; April 8, 2017; and April 15 through April 18, 2017.

Service is only provided by Tiger Transit buses assigned to support the Supper Shuttle service.

An assessment of this pilot program is to be conducted after May 5, 2017 to determine whether this service will be offered again next Fall.   Questions and or suggestions for improvement of this pilot program can be addressed to either Tiger Transit @334.844.4757 or Dining Services @ 334-844-8504. Change in Service for the South College and College Loop Lines posted Monday, January 30, 2017

In order to ameliorate not only the overcrowding being experienced on the College Loop Line but to also maximize the usage of available carrying capacity on the South College Line, Tiger Transit has instructed our vendor to have each in service bus assigned to the South College Line also provide service for the Beacon transit stop currently serviced by the College Loop Line.  

This additional service is being provided inbound to campus only and as a reminder, the South College Line services the Mell St. Transit Hub on campus not the Student Center Hub on Heisman Drive. Be advised, the outbound service from campus to The Beacon transit stop is only provided by the College Loop Line.

This attempt to alleviate some of the overcrowding on the College Loop Line is being conducted on a trial basis during the 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM time period. Should future reviews of the line data show that this additional service provided by the South College Line for the Beacon transit stop is not warranted, the resources will be shifted to where they are required the most.  Regards,  The Tiger Transit Office

Tiger Ten Service Update for March 2017 posted Sunday, February 26, 2017

During the month of March 2017, in accordance with our previously published calendar of operations, the "Tiger Ten" shuttle service operates on March 3, March 4, March 24, March 25 and March 31.  Tiger Ten does not provide service on Wednesday and Thursday evening.   The hours of operation for all Tiger Ten lines are 10:30 PM until 3:00 AM. The Night Old Row and Night New Row Lines begin operation at 8:00 PM with Public Safety vans.  

Friday Evening Shopping Shuttle (Opelika TigerTown/AsianSuperMarket/WalMart/Auburn Mall) – March 3 posted Sunday, February 26, 2017

The shopping shuttle service hours of  operation are 5:30 PM until 9:30 PM on each Friday of every month. The pick – up location on campus is the Transit Hub located at the Student Center on Heisman Drive. All other stops serviced by the Friday Evening Shopping Shuttle are designated as “by request”.  These stops are serviced in conjunction with the normal operation of the Opelika TigerTown/AsianSuperMarket/WalMart/Auburn Mall Shopping  Shuttle.  Outbound passengers from the Student Center must announce as they enter the bus, the need for service to a  designated shopping location. Service from or to  any of the pick-up or drop-off locations is provided by either                                     informing the driver as you enter the bus, or calling (334) 844-4018. This Service is only provided by Tiger Transit buses.
